Help with the calm post-meal movement habit

How does AfterMeal work?

After you eat, tap I Just Ate. AfterMeal gently reminds you to do a short movement — starting at 15 seconds and working up to a few minutes. Tap Start Movement Now, run the countdown, and mark it complete.

I'm not getting reminders.

Reminders need notification permission. Open the iOS Settings app → AfterMealNotifications and make sure Allow Notifications is on. Also check that the time isn't inside your Quiet Hours (set in the app's Settings). You can always start a movement manually without notifications.

What are quiet hours?

Quiet hours silence reminders during a window you choose (for example, 8:00 PM to 7:00 AM). The window can cross midnight. Set it in the app under Settings → Quiet Hours.

How is my streak calculated?

Any day you complete at least one movement counts. Your streak stays "current" as long as your last move was today or yesterday — so you're never punished for not having moved yet today. It only resets after a full day is missed.

Does AfterMeal collect my data?

No. There's no account and no internet connection required. Everything stays on your device. See our Privacy Policy.

How do I change my movement or reminder interval?

Tap the gear icon on the Home screen to open Settings, where you can change your movement type (squats, walk, calf raises, sit-to-stands), goal length, reminder interval, and quiet hours.

Is AfterMeal medical advice?

No. AfterMeal is a habit-building app, not medical advice. Move comfortably and stop if you feel pain, dizziness, or discomfort.
